When looking for books in the library search, you will come across titles that EKU Libraries has and some that they library does not have.

Let's take a look at how to request the different types of books you will find.

We'll start with a search on border security as shown below.

Below is an example of a print book that is held by EKU Libraries:

To request this book be checked out to you, start by clicking on the title of the book:

Click on the REQUEST ITEM button:

This will take you to the Library Express Book Request form.  Please select the best option for pick-up or delivery based on your personal circumstances:

  • Online students and faculty can have items mailed to them
  • Richmond based faculty and staff can choose to have items delivered to their office or pick-up at a library location
  • Richmond based students can choose a library location for pick-up
  • Regional campus students can have items delivered to an EKU campus location

This is an example of a print book that EKU Libraries does not have in the collection.

You can still request this book!  Just click on the title of the book to be taken to the detail screen and click on REQUEST ITEM:

Once again, you will need to select the best pick-up or delivery option for you:

But more importantly this time, pay close attention to the NOTES field.  Let us know if you would like us to purchase the title for the collection!

Below is an example of an eBook held by EKU Libraries.  To access an eBook just click on the VIEW ONLINE button.
