Library Express is a delivery service that allows you to get access to materials whether or not they are owned by EKU. This service is ONLY available to current EKU students, faculty, and staff members.

Library Express uses software called ILLiad to manage all of the following requests: Distance & Online LearningInterlibrary LoanPull & Hold, and Suggest a Purchase. ALL requests are placed using your ILLiad account.

Articles

Look up an article in one of our databases and click the "Find Full Text" link when the full text option is not available. This link usually finds the article in full text in another database. But if the article it not available as full text, it then helps you request the article and have it delivered to your Library Express account.

Or look up an article in Google Scholar and click the Find Full Text at EKU link on the right. This will usually lead you to the full text of the article. But if the article it not available as full text, it then helps you request the article and have it delivered to your Library Express account.

To search for and request books that are not currently owned by EKU Libraries, we recommend using the WorldCat Discovery search or WorldCat.org.

WorldCat Discovery

Already have the citation?

If you have citation information (i.e. title, author, ISBN, etc.) you can simply fill out a blank request form from your ILLiad account. Please include the most accurate and complete information possible to avoid delay.

Tip!

  • Books - We encourage you to locate books in WorldCat Discovery or WorldCat.org and submit the request that way. Use manual citation entry as a last resort.
  • Articles - we encourage you to locate articles in Google Scholar and submit the request that way. Use manual citation entry as a last resort.

Please allow adequate time for delivery of materials. Depending on your needs, there may be a waiting period for your requests.
