Library Username and Password

Your library username and password, sometimes also called your E-Key, is the first part of your EKU email address (everything before the @ symbol) and your regular EKU password.

This same username and password is used to log in to library databases and resources from both on-campus and off-campus, computers across campus, your EKU e-mail, and EKU Secure WiFi.

E-Key login examples:

  • Student (john_doe21)
  • Faculty/Staff (doej)

Correct: john_doe21

Incorrect: john_doe21@mymail.eku.edu

When do I log in?

When accessing the Libraries' databases and other online resources, from both on and off-campus, you will be prompted to log in only when you click on a link to a database, video, eBook or other password-protected resource.

Tip! You will not be prompted to log in until you try to access a resource.

E-Key login examples:

  • Faculty/Staff (doej)

Once you login, you should be seamlessly connected to our online resources.

If your login does not work, first make sure you have entered your username correctly.  Only use the first part of your email--do not include the domain part of your email address. Also double-check that you are entering your information in the correct location. You should always see the Central Authentication Service (CAS) login screen.

Correct: john_doe21

Incorrect: john_doe21@mymail.eku.edu

If you are entering your username correctly and still can't login, contact IT to make sure your E-Key information is up to date.  If IT confirms that your login information is correct, and you are still having problems logging in, please contact us so we can troubleshoot this problem.
