Q. Patron Groups, Borrowing Privileges, and Checkout Loan Periods

Eastern Kentucky University students, faculty and staff have unlimited book checkouts. Simply bring the books to one of the library help desks along with your EKU ID or a current photo ID to checkout books and other materials.

Or take advantage of the library's Library Express service and the Request It link to request books.

We do offer some borrowing privileges for other groups listed below.  For specific loan periods and other information, please see our Borrowing Privileges.
