Here are a few search tips for this assignment:
Try starting by searching "sex* difference*" AND "dental caries" in Web of Science. The default ranking in Web of Science is Publication date, newest to oldest. You can change this to Relevance to see more relevant references.
For each relevant article you find in Web of Science, be sure to click on the article title, then explore the Citation Network links to the right of the title and abstract. You can find other relevant references in the Cited References, Times Cited, and View Related Records links:
Because the five questions are so closely related, you may stumble upon references that answer one question while searching another question.
Prominent scholars on this topic include John R. Lukacs and Simon Hillson. In Web of Science be sure to change the dropdown menu from Topic to Author when searching one fo these last names. Then just add a single keyword, like caries, to the other search box, like so:
For question five, try using some specific American archaeological populations by name in your search (e.g., Mississippian, Fort Ancient). Try searching mississippian dental caries in Google Scholar.
For question one, try searching dental caries females kentucky OR appalachia in Google Scholar. Be sure to go beyond the first page of results.
