Start at the Library Search

To place a hold on a book that is currently checked out or missing, start by searching for the book on the library home page.

If a book is checked out, or missing, start the process to place the book on hold:

  1. Search for the book in the library search
  2. Click on Access options then
  3. Request It

If in WorldCat Discovery, first you'll need to click on the title of the book.

Then click on the Request It button.

My Checkouts Portal

You will then be taken to your My Checkouts Portal to place the book on hold. You will need to check a few areas in the form.

 

First, choose a Pick-Up Location where you will pick up the book when it becomes available.

Then be sure to check the Needed before and update if needed.

 

 

Finally, if there is information you would like to share in the Comments field, please do!

For example, if you want to read this for fun and are in no rush to receive the book, let us know that. But if you need the book for scholarship or academic purposes and need the book soon, please be sure to let us know.
