Access to PubMed can be achieved through the Databases link on EKU Libraries' homepage.
The A-Z Databases page supplies an alphabetical listing of ALL of the databases EKU students, faculty, and staff have access to. To locate a specific database, you can type the name of the database into the search box indicated below.
Once in PubMed, you can immediately start searching with a basic keyword search, or you can opt to perform a more advanced search to curate a list of results with specific filters applied.
PubMed offers multiple ways in which you can sort or filter your list of search results. The drop down menus located directly below the search box offer options related to format as well as different ways in which your results can be organized. The options on the left-hand side of the screen allow you to add specific criteria to your search that filter results specifically tailored to your needs.
Once you've found an article you like, it's important to determine whether or not you have immediate access to the article or if you need to submit a request through Library Express.
Some articles may be more readily available than others. If you don't see any links for immediate full access to a text, you will have to submit a request through Library Express. Start by using the maroon "Get More" button on the right-hand side of your screen.
A new browser window will open where you will find the option to request the item through Library Express. Should you need it, a link to a tutorial related to setting up a Library Express account and requesting items through it will be linked below.
