EBSCOhost Login Issues and Errors
If you experience any of the following errors when trying to login to our library EDS search or any EBSCOhost database during the winter term:
- 404 error
- timeout error
Follow these steps:
- Please clear your cache and browser history. Sometimes trying a different browser will work. Some timeout errors can be eliminated by this simple step.
- Still getting errors? Please use this list of proxied EBSCO products to conduct your research.
- Use this form to let us know you are having problems accessing EBSCO products. Hopefully you are able to conduct your your research using the proxied links, but we'd still like to hear from you.
Tip! This is a problem that is affecting some users using EBSCOhost products only. This should not affect any other vendor (ProQuest, Sage, NFPA, etc.) products. If you are experiencing issues accessing any of these products, please confirm that you are entering your login correctly.
Library Username and Password
Your library username and password, sometimes also called your E-Key, is the first part of your EKU email address (everything before the @ symbol) and your regular EKU password.
This same username and password is used to log in to library databases and resources from both on-campus and off-campus, computers across campus, your EKU e-mail, and EKU Secure WiFi.
E-Key login examples:
- Student (john_doe21)
- Faculty/Staff (doej)
