The app’s built in browser is either incompatible with the javascript used for the EBSCO pdf viewer, or it forces a https:// connection which is causing a mixed-content block of the PDF viewer.  Here are three workarounds you can try:

  • Click the "download pdf" link at the top of the item record.
  • Click the "..." button at the bottom-right of the browser and select “view in browser” to open the pdf viewer in a compatible browser
  • Access Blackboard via a web browser which will open the link in a new window, provided your professor has configured it correctly. (This is one of the easiest workarounds!)

Tip! EKU Blackboard users should connect with either Firefox or Chrome. Other browsers, particularly Internet Explorer and Safari, are not 100% compatible with all of Blackboard’s features.
