The LibKey Nomad browser extension enables quick, seamless access to journal articles. LibKey Nomad is very privacy minded. There's no need to create an account, the extensions never asks for or stores institutional access credentials, and the extension only runs scripts on partner websites.

To use LibKey Nomad

  1. Download the extension from http://libkeynomad.com/
  2. When asked to select your institution, search for Eastern Kentucky University:

Please Note: Chrome users who use an eku.edu account for browser syncing will first need to navigate to google.com and log out in order to access the Chrome store due to campus IT restrictions. Once the extension is installed, chrome users can log back in as usual. Alternatively, Chrome users can download the plugin via EKU IT's software center app on EKU-issued Windows laptops

With LibKey Nomad you will now be able to go to pretty much any website that has journal article references and get access to them or see options for retrieving them on each page. On publicly available websites such as PubMed and Wikipedia. you will have increased and easier functionality for accessing library subscribed resources.

You can now get to the library subscribed articles directly from the Wikpedia Citations list!
