Determine Operating System

Requirements: Mac OS X(macOS) 64-bit version 10.14, 10.15, 11 and 12 newer versions.

  • Select the Apple icon in the upper left corner.
  • Select the About This Mac.

If the Operating System is below 10.14, you will need to upgrade your operating system before the cloud printer can be installed.

 

TIP!! First Scroll down to the end of this page under Links & Files and download macosx.zip and lexmark_universal.zip to your Mac before starting the next steps.  If you don't install these zip files, you will not be able to install the Cloud Printer.

 

Install Cloud Printer

  • Select the Apple icon in the upper left corner.
  • Select System Settings. (For order model MacBooks it may say System Preferences.)
  • Select Printers & Scanners
  • Select the +icon in the lower left corner
  • Select Add Printer or Scanner
  • While holding the Control Button, Right Click in the Toolbar where it shows (Default, IP & Windows).
  • Customize Toolbar will popup. Click on Customize Toolbar.
  • Drag the Advanced icon to the toolbar next to Default , IP & Windows.
  • Then click Done.
  • Select the Advanced icon and change the following items:
    • Type: Pharos Print Server
    • Device:  Another Device
    • URL: popup://157.89.36.242/MACCLOUDPRINTING
    • Name: Type Cloud Printer into the box.
  • Select the Driver dropdown option.
  • Select Software
  • Choose Lexmark Mono Universal driver.
  • After clicking Add, you will get this pop-up box that says "Setting up Cloud Printer", so then you would Select Configure.
  • You will check mark Duplexer and Tray 1, then hit OK

 

Printing a Document & Releasing at Cloud Printer

TIP!! You MUST be connected to EKU Secure to Print!!

1. Open your document or from the browser.

2. Go to File, then Print.

3. Choose Cloud Printer or Cloud Printing, whichever it is named in your Devices and Printers.

4. Next click on Cloud Printing and click Print.

5. Then Print Job Details box will popup.

6. You will enter your username and hit next (ex. Firstname_lastname#)

7. You will then enter your password.

8. Finally, you will hit Print.

9. Then you will walk over to the Cloud Printer.

10.  Click on EKU Cloud Printing on the cloud printer to Release your job.

11. You will either tap your phone or swipe your card on the card reader.

12. You will Choose the Document from the Cloud Printer and Hit Print.
