Important!!!

  • NFPA removed PDF versions from the database. The codes are now available to view only in HTML within the database.
  • Access is limited to a maximum of 17 simultaneous users.

Start at the EKU Libraries homepage and click on the Online Resources link.

Select N from the list.

Then Click on NFPA National Fire Codes Online.  This is a good time to double-check that you are not using a Chrome browser. Try using Firefox instead to access the National Fire Codes.

You will then be logged into the National Fire Codes online database.

Note that the codes are listed in numerical order.

 

Click on the code you need. Note that when you click on the code, several years will then be listed.  Here we are using NFPA 101: Life Safety Code as an example.

Then simply click on year for the version of the code needed. You'll then be able to View the code.

 

You'll be able to view and read the code within your browser, as shown below.
