Do you already have a citation for an article or book that you need to request? EKU Libraries encourage you to locate articles through Google Scholar or the Library Search and books through WorldCat Discovery and then submit your request using the Find Full Text or Request It links!

But we know that sometimes you can't find your items in any of those places and will need to manually create a new request through your Library Express account and My Checkouts portal as a last resort. Below are directions on how to do that.

On the EKU Libraries homepage, click on the Library Express link located in the top navigation bar.

Log into to Library Express using your EKU credentials (full email address and password).

This will take you to your My Checkouts portal. To manually create a new request for an article, book, or book chapter, click on the Requests tab.

Then click on the Create Request button.

Requests Tab page - create a request button

Next, click on either the Article/Chapter or Book/DVD/Other as appropriate, depending on the type of item you will be requesting.
